Eric Meyer, MD Arizona State Representative District 11 |
![]() |
When I became involved in politics I knew it could be dirty, but this really is a new low. I ran for office on the school board and for the State House to do the right thing for kids. I took an oath as a physician, a school board member and a legislator to protect our children and I take that oath very seriously. Among the many false and misleading things my opponents and their special interest friends are saying about me is that I've turned my back on needy children--and that could not be further from the truth. In the two legislative sessions that I have served, Children's Action Alliance gave me a 100% score when it came to my voting record supporting children's issues. http://www.azchildren.org/MyFiles/10%20legislature/2010legreportcard.pdf http://www.azchildren.org/MyFiles/09%20legislature%202/09legreportcard.pdf
Who would you trust: Children's Action Alliance or my political opponents?
You can review my voting record. I will never and have never turned my back on our children. This is a last minute attack on my record, twisting the truth. Please help me to set the record straight. Please call your friends and family and tell them of my record and of my support for children in Arizona. Thank you so much. Eric Meyer
The current economic downturn challenges our state to find a solution which will allow us to emerge stronger and move our state forward. Currently the legislature is failing us by gutting our schools and driving jobs from our state. That is why I am running for a seat in the Arizona State House.
I am grateful for the quality of life I enjoyed growing up in this state. From hiking with the Boy Scouts in our beautiful wilderness areas to studying medicine at U of A, Arizona has provided me countless opportunities. With renewed investment in education and economic diversity we can ensure a quality lifestyle for all Arizonans.
It is the responsibility of Arizona’s leaders to develop a workable vision for the future of our state. With an undergraduate degree in Economics, a background in emergency medicine, and six years of experience on the Scottsdale School Board, I believe that I have the tools to understand the complex issues affecting our state. I will allow the voices of my constituents to guide me in making thoughtful decisions.
I am passionate about Arizona and committed to building a bright future for our state. I promise that I will fight to protect education for our children, work to diversify the state’s economy in order to create high wage jobs, and keep our neighborhoods and schools safe.
I ask for your vote for State Representative on November 2.
Thank you,
Eric Meyer
